Apprenticeships: Building Futures for Students and Employers

At Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, we create opportunities that strengthen communities and open doors to economic mobility.  Our programs provide earn-and-learn pathways that benefit both students and employers. With over 4,900 apprentices in 15 occupations, nearly 350,000 instructional hours, and more than $1.1 million in grants, we're driving real impact. Through our district's Economic Development & Contract Education department, we partner with employers to build a skilled workforces and support regional priorities.

Working with Chabot College and Las Positas College, we deliver programs sponsored by employers, labor unions, and industry partners ensuring students gain skills aligned with workforce demands.

Key collaborators include:

  • Employers: initiate and deliver earn and learn training to student apprentices
  • Key College Collaborators:
    • Academic Services: Manage courses, scheduling, and program development
